The dg-a (darling geranium class-a) amplifier was an early design. It was partially intended to see if
germanium could sound better than silicon transistors, but it made for a good project anyway as germanium
transistors are harder to work with.
Not the best looker, but just a £100 budget.
Simple double darlington pair germanium single ended class-a design
Negative rail supply with PNP only germaniums (germanium prefers P doping)
A power supply that no longer exists after a small explosion, but a couple of car batteries are a good
replacement as it is very susceptible to mains hum.
